Code of Conduct

Membership of the FairBookingUK campaign requires participating businesses to abide by the following agreement and code of conduct:
  • As part of the registration process, businesses are required to pledge their support to one of the selected good causes for a minimum of 12 months. The good causes relate to activity that directly seeks to improve the experience of visitors in the UK. FairBookingUK is proud to be supporting the following charities currently in the campaign:
  1. St Johns Ambulance http://www.sja.org.uk/sja/default.aspx
  2. Royal Society for the Protection of Birds https://www.rspb.org.uk/
  • Businesses need to prove a commitment to quality, either through membership of a nationally recognised quality accreditation scheme (e.g. VisitEngland QIT Scheme, the AA or another nationally recognised award such as Quality Cumbria) or by signing the FairBookingUK Quality Charter, click here to view the FairBookingUK Quality Charter.
  • After the first year, the business membership of FairBookingUK will automatically renew. If you wish to change your good cause please email info@fairbookinguk.com.
  • After the first 12 months, a business can cancel membership of FairBooking.com we ask that 30 days’ notice is given by email. If a business cancels membership, all FairBooking branding must be removed from websites and marketing collateral.
  • Businesses need to inform FairBookingUK if their business is to be sold as membership of FairBooking remains with the current owners. Once the business has changed hands, it is the responsibility of the original owner to make a final donation to the good cause. New owners would then need to apply and pledge to FairBooking in their own right.
  • Businesses in membership of FairBooking agree to pay 10% commission (Inc. Vat) on any bookings received from www.fairbookinguk.com

Once a business has signed the Code of Conduct that business will be entitled to use of the FairBookingUK marque and branding, which will be sent in a Zip file with your welcome email. If you do not receive this within a few days please contact us.

FairBookingUK will...

  •  Promote the FairBookingUK website and raise awareness of the campaign in collaboration with NVG (the website host) and other FairBooking destinations.
  • Guarantee that 100% of any revenue from the campaign will be used purely for the running and promotion of FairBooking.
  • Will make an annual donation to one of the chosen good causes from booking commissions raised.
