Fernbank Hotel is a family run business in Basingstoke, Hampshire, offering a warm and friendly atmosphere and personal attention at all times, whether your stay is for business or pleasure. We offer sixteen quality individual rooms on a bed and breakfast basis, all of which are en-suite. Some rooms retain some original features of the house, a large Victorian detached property, extended in the 1980’s. The building is situated in the Fairfields Conservation Area in recognition of the special architectural and historic interest of the area. Fernbank Hotel is one of several notable buildings on Fairfields Road.

All rooms offer comfort with colour TV’s, tea and coffee making facilities and free Wi-Fi access. There is ample off-street parking at the end of a long driveway, behind the property.

The hotel is ideally located for the M3 and M4 motorways and A33 and A30 primary trunk roads, with the M3 easily accessible and being less than 5 minutes’ drive away. The city centre of Basingstoke is less than 0.5 miles directly north. Basingstoke train station provides several trains per hour direct service to London Waterloo and other direct and indirect routes to major towns and cities around. Southampton and Heathrow airports are about 25 and 40 miles respectively and are no more than 45 minutes’ drive away.

Fernbank Hotel is within a short distance of several business parks in the Basingstoke area, including Basing View.

Basingstoke offers a wealth of attractions whether you are visiting the area for business or pleasure. Surrounded by beautiful North Hampshire countryside, Basingstoke combines all the facilities of a modern and lively town with the tranquillity and charm of rural life. The area boasts many buildings of historical significance and notable attractions open to the public including Basing House, Stratfield Saye House, The Vyne House, Odiham Castle and several museums. Fernbank Hotel is also well positioned for visitors further afield to Reading, Oxford, Winchester, Windsor, Salisbury, Southampton, and the South West of England and London, where many of England’s most famous tourist attractions such as the idyllic New Forest, Legoland, Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, and Marwell Zoo in Winchester can be found.

Basingstoke is home to the renowned Anvil Concert Hall which hosts international orchestras and artists across comedy, ballet, classical and modern music. The Haymarket Theatre offers a wide variety of performances in music, theatre and attracting concerts and comedy on the national circuit.

Festival Place is only a few minutes’ walk away from the hotel and is regarded as a regional shopping attraction with over 1 million ft² of shopping space and over 200 shops, plus restaurants, bars, and cafés.
